"There is something very special about this long established Dance School"

Evening Post

The School was originally started in 1935 by Miss Bettie Vowles, who ran the School until 1999.

The School was then renamed and relaunched by Bettie's eldest daughter, and Pamela Wingfield who was a past student, and had also established the Wingfield School of Ballet in 1979.

Today the School has more than 300 students aged from 3 years to 21, and 4 fully qualified Dance Teachers.  It offers a range of lessons including RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Ballet, ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Tap, Modern and Jazz, and it excels in preparing students for their examinations obtaining excellent results.

The School continues to impress with it's popular Shows, and also holds a number of smaller events through the terms.  Students can be prepared for Eisteddfods.

In addition dozens of past pupils have progressed into the professional world of Dance, and have had careers with the English National Ballet, Scottish and Harlem and Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Others have become Dance Teachers themselves or work in the Entertainment industry.

The School has a real sense of Professionalism and Discipline, but more importantly a sense of fun runs through the classes.
